Contraband Police takes the document-checking anxiety of 'Papers, Please' and combines it with open-world exploration and first-person shooting. It is an incredibly unique blend of genres that works flawlessly.
The Daily Grind
As a border guard in a fictional communist state, your primary job is to inspect vehicles. Ripping apart tires, smashing hidden compartments, and discovering smuggled goods is immensely satisfying. The level of detail in the vehicle inspections is fantastic.
Action and Upgrades
The game doesn't stop at the border post. You will regularly have to engage in shootouts with gangs, manage your station's upgrades, and make difficult moral choices. It's a robust experience that punches well above its weight.
