Truck Driver, developed by SOEDESCO, offers a narrative-focused take on the trucking-simulation genre set in a fictionalized version of the American Pacific Northwest. Players take on the role of a trucker rebuilding their late father's transport business, meeting a cast of recurring characters, taking on story-driven cargo jobs, and gradually expanding their fleet and reputation. Unlike sandbox-focused truck sims, Truck Driver leans into character-driven career progression with dialogue, side objectives, and a skill-tree system. The driving model emphasizes weight, terrain, and weather-sensitive handling, with both relaxed arcade and stricter simulation modes.
